Vacations in the Harz-mountains (January 14, 2012)
|
This year's Christmas-hollidays we spent in the Harz-mountains in Northern Gerrmany. Naturally we visited the famous top, called the Brocken. As you can see it was sunny but very cold and windy. Which did not bother the dogs. Even the ascent in the over-crowded narrow-gauge railway was absolutely cool with them.

Basic Girl (Amelie) (20 December, 2011)
|
This October, Amelie has passed the approval for breeding in the CFH. Her owner is looking very forward to start breeding with her. In spite of her youth, Amelie is absolutely willing to work and full of spirit, quite competent and confident at the same time. The breeding station will be administered internationally under the name "Nantosvelta's".
Dear Dagmar, I wish you the very best for your future endeavour. May you always be lucky in your choice of breeding partners. If on top of this you happen to find as wonderful recipients of the puppies as I have, you will enjoy everything even more!

C`est Souris with playmates (October 10, 2011)
|
On the occasion of a Beauceron-meeting in the end of October, Souris had the chance to play with two girl-dogs from Siola's A-litter. The three of them enjoyed themselves tremendously as we did just watching them.
Thanks for the photos, Siola!

The vagabonds were here (18 October 2011)
|
In the last days of September the globetrotters with Emma and Gustav (the camper) payed good old Germany a visit. They also came to see us for a day and a half. It was great to meet and we had a lot to talk about. Naturally their life is much more exciting than ours. After four weeks in Germany they are ready to move on to Africa to spend the winter there. Emma has developed into a stately dog dealing very well with all the excitement and commotion. She even swims to secluded islands – as long as Sabine and Markus are with her.
If you are interested in participating in their adventures, check their web site: www.looking4adventure.de Below you can see Basta and her two daughters during their visit.
I wish you a pleasant journey and good luck!

C`est Souris in dog school (October 6, 2011)
|
Souris loves to go to dog school where she can run and play. Naturally, certain exercises are strewn in which the little rascals get done with enthusiasm. This photograph shows her at 15 weeks of age. There happened to be a photographer about who was so kind to let us use them. Thank you very much!

A male visit (October 6, 2011)
|
Some days ago Bodyguard v. Bergwerkswald, aka Buddy, paid us a visit. My two ladies found him quite charming, even Basta got into flirting – which she rarely does. No question, he is a glamour boy who can twist anyone around hid finger - just like his father, Gaston aus dem Düppel. Thank you for the pics, Petra!

Small family gathering (September 2, 2011)
|
On August 13 and 14 Cosmo, Charmin, Cimt, Souris, Amelie (Basic) and Basta along with their respectiv owners all met in Gernsheim at an CFH-exhibition. It's a beautiful area by the river Rhein where you can take walks and meet people with all three breeds that are represented in the CFH. Our four siblings played for hours so some of them had be carried to the cars in the evening. A great weekend and I want to thank all of you who have come all the way to Germersheim for this purpose.
Amelie took part in the exhibition and reached a V1. Congratulations! Thank you, Elke and Thomas for the photographs!

Charmin (August 10, 2011)
|
Charmin is a well-balanced dog. On the one hand he loves to run around with his sister but when he is fed up with it he just retires to his box in order to relax. He also loves to learn. He already masters "Sit!" We are working on the other comands ...

Charmin (31 July, 2011)
|
This is Charmin, a burly male, who also likes to cuddle. He always seeks to be near humans. He is still looking for a new home with happy and dedicated people who he can be a great companion with. He is very athletic and you can tell from the look in his eyes that he's a real teaser. Charmin is now 10 weeks old.

A Visit (July 8, 2011)
|
On Friday we enjoyed the visit of Bruno Boy, brother to our Brise. Bruno has grown to be a fine male, though a friendly and happy one. He and Brise played around all over the garden while Basta had to show her son who is the leader of the pack. Children just stay children! We had a pleasant afternoon outside including plenty of cuddleing the cubs.

Grandma (June 16, 2011)
|
Since March of this year on top of everything I am grandmother. Which makes me very happy!
Basta and Brise are not familiar with baby children, they do not know their noises and smells. However, they took all the commotion much more relaxed than I did. They acted as if they had always been with them. Cool.

Birth of the C-litter (May 25, 2011)
|
Basta has given birth to seven beautiful puppies and as usual, everything went easy without any complications.
Four males and three females are healthy and lively: they are strictly dedicated to their favorite occupation – drink and sleep!
Basta has plenty of milk and takes excellent care of her offspring. From now on you will find all informations about the C-Litter under “Litter”. Here are the first pictures:

Farewell (May 18, 2011)
|
On May 6 we had our – by now – dear friends Sabine and Marcus with Emma (Bonny girl) over for a visit. They are on their way to a trip around the world in their camper, named Gustav. We wish them a pleasant journey with many nice, interesting, enriching and exciting as well as funny experiences. Stay well! Emma will protect you.
You can follow their trip on: www.looking4adventure.de

Basta on the home strech (May 16, 2011)
|
Now it is only one more week to the long awaited birthday. Basta is very fine and working like a young one when the award is – Fleischwurst! By now, we only train at home and in the garden. Here we have enough choices to work "with our heads".
When Basta rests you can feel the puppies pedal under her skin and sometimes you can actually see it. They are rather lively!
The puppies' room is ready, even my cot next to the actual birth-box is set up. Basta has inspected it all and is satisfied that all is well – as usual. She knows she can trust us.
About one week after the date of birth we will install our web-cam again so that everybody can watch the nursery live.

Ultrasound positive! ( April 18, 2011)
|
Since 17:00 today it is for sure – BASTA is definitely pregnant so that her C-litter can be expected for the 25th of May.
Basta apparently feels great. Now, with the spring-warmth we often take Basta and Brise to the nearby ponds for a swim. Nature presents us with exuberant colors and fresh smells. It is a good feeling to know the litter grows well protected inside a happy mother.

Exhibition (13.04.2011)
|
Together with BRISE I attended the international Oldenburg fair this past weekend. The judge was all excited about her. She especially praised her motion. I was extremely happy while BRISE couldn't care less – she hates indoor exhibitions.
In the end we received an "excellent" (V1).

Family meeting on March 19 & 20, 2011 (March 31, 2011)
|
For the first time I had invited all owners of dogs from the A- and B-litter. We met at "Landhaus Blumengarten" near my home which is situated in a beautiful rural area, with very dog-friendly owners.
There were six young dogs and father "Gaston (Jack) aus dem DĂĽppel" whereas "Basta" came only for a short visit since she is in heat. The local trainer was at our disposal on Saturday so that we could take a peek into the disciplines of "lunging" and " clicker." Thank you, Angela, for your patience!
However, we did not miss out on the fun part. We took long walks where the dogs could run, romp and play. What fun to watch such a happy bunch of dogs!
We humans had a lot to exchange, too, so the evening ended in a very good mood, maybe also due to some ardent spirits. Myself, I was extremely happy that you all came even though for some it was really a very long drive all the way to my home, the beautiful Lipperland. Thank you all once again for making it a wonderful weekend!

Mating C-Litter (March 25, 2011 )
|
On March 23 and 24 I went with Basta to Valderic. Soon both took a liking in each other and after playing for a while they got serious and gave their best to multiply this dream-team.
Supposing that everything went well their offspring is expected on May 25.
Valderic is really an impressive dog captivating by his presence. His character is both friendly and cuddly. On the other hand, when it comes to working on the training field he is wholly committed.

Upcoming mating for C-litter (February 23, 2011)
Sunday walk (February 21, 2011)
|
Yesterday we drove out for a long walk under a brilliant blue sky in icy winds. Basta and Brise were delighted and in spite of the cold and took frequent swims in the nearby lakes. Just watching them gave us the chills!
